We're Putting the Unity in our Community

You've been waiting, and here it comes:  a new parent group is being launched in Leola and we want YOU (yes, all of you) to get on board with us as we transform our school in our second year of the "Leader in Me" process!

Join us on the evening November 11th in our gym to pump up the school spirit, enjoy some hot dogs with the kiddos, watch a magic show, and choose how you want to contribute to the Leola Community.  Check on your inbox for your invite, and mark your calendar to bring your ideas on November 11th!

New Parent Resource

In addition to the original Sean Covey book, "7 Habits of Happy Kids," our primary classrooms are now equipped with the boxed set of the 7 Habits book series. 

This is a really kid-friendly way to reinforce those Leader in Me habits at home, too.  Be sure to check it out by clicking on the image!

Synergy Works

Habit No. 6: Synergy. What exactly is it? Sure, we know that it means working together is way better than a bunch of individuals going it alone. Stop a student in our hallway and they may tell you that when you truly synergize, 1 + 1 = 3.

But what does it look like? You know, in real life?

The Leader in Me program is based off of this book, "The 7 Habits of Happy Kids," by Sean Covey.  Every classroom has one, and it is available for purchase on Amazon.com.  We hope you can take the time to get your hands on a copy and read it--it will provide you with context for the environment we are cultivating at Leola.

The "Leader in Me" Comes to Leola

Great News!  As you know, we are now learning the 7 Habits of Happy Kids based on Stephen Covey’s book. A parent’s guide has gone home, which you can view here, and we hope you are hearing some of the positive language. We encourage you to support this program by learning and using this language in your daily routines.
